Installation

 

Prepare: Gather tools like a saw, chisel, hammer, nails, wood glue, and sandpaper. Select a wooden stair nose that suits the stairs in terms of material and size.

Cut to size: Cut the wooden stair nose according to the length of the stair edge. You can use a saw to make accurate cuts. Sand the cut edges to make them smooth.

Apply glue and install: Apply an appropriate amount of wood glue on the contact surface between the stair nose and the stair. Then, align the stair nose with the stair edge and press it tightly. Use nails to fix it temporarily. Make sure the stair nose is flush with the stair surface.

Finish and polish: After the glue dries, remove the nails if any, and use sandpaper to polish the surface of the stair nose to make it smooth and free of burrs. You can also apply paint or varnish according to your needs to enhance its aesthetics and durability.
