Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) flooring, also referred to as anti-static flooring, is designed with anti-static properties (either static-dissipative or conductive) to safeguard electronic devices from harm due to static electricity.

The tiles used in ESD flooring are made of high-density, non-porous natural organic material, giving them a tile-like appearance. These tiles are produced through an extrusion process, which involves mixing and pressing 100% virgin PVC granules with carbon (graphite) fibers, calcium carbonates, DOPT plasticizer, Titanium dioxide white paint, among other components, under the right pressure and temperature conditions. Conductive elements are evenly distributed throughout the flooring material. This distribution allows the ESD floors to have electrical conductivity, creating an electrical pathway from the walking surface to the ground, thereby ensuring consistent ESD performance.
